Make sure you wear clothes which you feel comfortable moving in. Breathable t-shirts and jogging trousers are a good suggestion. If you feel like dressing up for the occasion, a long floaty skirt is great for getting into the Belly Dance mood. Also a fabric scarf or coin belt to tie round your hips is good to accentuate them, and it helps visually with certain movements (plus dressing up makes it much more fun!) If you progress and want to develop your interest there are opportunities to buy amazing full costumes if you so wish. Your chance to sparkle!!

Yes! Absolutely! Men are welcome at Belly Dance School, however you must contact us first as most of our classes are currently female-only due to religious reasons or comfort. If there isn't a mixed class near you, why not come to us for private tuition? Contact Cara for further information.
We do indeed. Cara can tailor make a course just for you - you have a choice of options and the price is available on request, you can learn as an individual, or if there is a group of you with no lessons in your area, we can come to you if it is within the 6 zones of London or North Kent - anywhere further afield would incur travel costs.
Private tuition is suitable for those who want to develop their dance style, who wish to become "advanced" Belly Dancers or become Belly Dance instructors themselves, or who simply can't make any of the regular classes advertised.
If you live too far afield (out of the London area or even out of the UK!) we can arrange online tuition and coach you via video and DVD.
